"Those precious bath-times..."

At RDC, even during the rainy seasons some days still can be very hot and birds, just like us, are in the need of a refreshing shower or a bath.

This Verditer Flycatcher enjoyed a long, refreshing bath in a nearby stream, soon accompanied by a little Bornean Blue Flycatcher.  They were taking turns clearly not disrupted of my presence, although I slightly felt like an intruder.

Later on, when walking down my favorite Kingfisher trail I found this fierce Purple-naped Sunbird taking a quick bath before disappearing back into the forest in a search for Ginger flowers.

When taking a stroll on the canopy-level  later on in the afternoon I found this lovely Bulbul couple enjoying a private spa, taking turns to refresh themselves and just indulging.  They remained grooming and resting for a long time conveniently before the evening meal.

And my "old friends", the Raffles's Malkoha  couple and the tiny Black-and-Yellow Broadbill were "grooming away" in their usual sactuaries.

Please, enjoy...
